DocuTicket Technology Diagnostic

Structured assessment · scope for follow-on work set from the findings

A scored review across 6 areas (1–5 each). Identifies the highest-priority gaps and delivers a concrete 90-day action plan—three 30-day sprints ready to run.

Acquisition Assessment is a separate engagement—scoped per deal—used before or right after a purchase so you know what you’re buying and how standardization will land. See Dental groups.

90-Day Execution

Project-based · sprint cadence · scoped from the Diagnostic

We execute the roadmap from the Diagnostic—stabilize first, standardize next, then optimize and hand over clean ownership.

Days 1–30 Stabilize Inventory, critical risk, backups, access, and uptime.
Days 31–60 Standardize Target stack, shared configs, and location rollout.
Days 61–90 Optimize & hand over Verification, reporting, and operating rhythm.

Ongoing: Fractional CTO and/or Managed support & security

Optional ongoing · sized to your locations and stack

Keep leadership and operations after the 90 days—without forcing a full-time IT executive hire.

  • Fractional CTO oversight — roadmap, vendors, budget, and reporting to ownership
  • Managed support & security — monitoring, patching verified to zero missing, backup verification, HIPAA-minded risk work

Framework

The Diagnostic — 6 areas (scored 1–5, max 30)

One scorecard across every location. Gaps become a prioritized 90-day plan—not a binder of recommendations.

  2. 02
Imaging & clinical systems PMS, sensors, pano, and integrations that keep chairs productive.

Communications

Business phone systems

Cloud-hosted voice built for multi-location dental groups—one system across offices, clear calls next to imaging and cloud traffic, and a clean cutover when you acquire a practice.

  • One system, every location Cloud-hosted VoIP with extension dialing between offices, auto-attendants and menus, ring groups, after-hours routing, and voicemail to email.
  • Number porting & cutover Port numbers from legacy and analog systems and carriers so patients keep calling the numbers they know.
  • Call quality on a busy network Monitoring and network QoS so voice stays clear alongside imaging and cloud traffic—plus carrier redundancy and failover planning.
  • Recording, retention & desks Call recording with defined retention, and desk phones provisioned and managed centrally.
  • Part of Diagnostic & acquisition Phones are scored in the Technology Diagnostic. On acquisition, we consolidate the new office’s old phone system into the group standard—same playbook as the rest of the stack.
  • Owned like the rest of IT Voice sits under the same roadmap, vendors, and support path as network and security—not a separate silo nobody owns.

FAQ

Questions from multi-location groups

Can you support mixed PMS platforms across offices?

Yes. Different locations often run different practice management and imaging stacks. The Diagnostic maps what you have; standardization is planned deliberately—not forced overnight.

What happens when we acquire a practice?

Acquisition Assessment is separate from the Technology Diagnostic and scoped per deal. Before or right after close we assess the practice, then hand off a 30 / 60 / 90 plan to stabilize and standardize. Scope and timeline depend on locations, existing vs. new technology, and deal complexity.

How is fractional CTO different from a full-time hire?

You get executive technology ownership—roadmap, vendors, budget, and reporting—without the cost and ramp of a full-time CTO. Escalation into hands-on work is available through Managed support & security when you need it.

Who do staff call when something breaks?

Clients use the Client Support portal to open and track requests. Marketing inquiries use the Diagnostic form below.

Do you sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA)?

A BAA is available on request. We practice HIPAA-minded operations and do not claim to be “HIPAA certified.”

Where do you provide coverage?

On-site teams in Arizona, Utah and Texas, with remote support and project delivery nationwide.
